SMS – once a very popular communication tool - lost popularity as technology advanced and it turned into a marketing medium for brands. As a mobile network operator for young people, we had do something that would overcome text-advertising blindness. We came up with the idea of sending a disruptive message that would make users stop and look again: “We need to talk.” This message was sent to our whole permitted database. The results: 35,300 Twitter shares, TT for 7 hours, the online video got 3,500,000 views on YouTube and the response rate to our campaign messages increased by 8 times.
